The sky was inked with black soot distress ink, I used a mask in the moon area, I then removed the mask and inked this area with mustard seed distress ink. I then stamped the moon with grey distress ink. I then stamped the small trees using the mask that I made for the snow  with black onyx versafine ink. The grass was also stamped with black onyx versafine, using first and second image. The leaves were stamped with black onyx versafine then highlighted with white pen. The stars were stamped with hickory smoke distress ink.

I made my second card along the same lines as the first, this was made for the November Hochanda show. Sharing again as it is Christmas based.

The sky was inked with black soot distress ink, I used a mask in the moon area, I then removed the mask and inked this area with mustard seed distress ink. I then stamped the moon with peanut brittle memento ink. I used just the tip of the new tree inked with Spanish olive memento ink. The verse and buttercups were inked with London fog memento ink. The buttercups in the forefront, the reindeer and willow, were stamped with black onyx versafine. The stars were stamped with silver memento ink.

Here are a few more Christmas based cards made in the last few weeks.

Lavinia stamps October challenge

As we approach the middle of October I thought I would share some inspiration for the All Hallows eve theme challenge. For this card I thought l would use a the Dreams and delights cutting file. maybe it’s where Willow the witch lives.

For the background I used squeezed lemonade, spiced marmalade, faded jeans and seedless preserves distress inks. I cut the dreams and delights file from black card, used a white pencil on the vines then coloured them with a green metallic pencil then sprayed with spray and shine. I raised this slightly with pin flair glue. I stamped Winnie the witch with black versafine highlighted her hair and sleeves with green metallic pen, then cut her out and placed her on top so she was raised up too, next I stamped the fairy web on the four corners with versafine then brushed over with cosmic shimmer dust. Then added one of the spiders from the bug set

For the background, I found some multicoloured netting, I placed this on some black card before mounting the main image.

I hope this inspires your creativity and look forward to seeing all your wonderful creations.

I had great fun with this sketch, had lots of ideas, my final choice was to use one of the crazy birds, coloured with spectrum noir pencils. The background was done with distress inks, salty ocean, peacock feathers, cracked pistachios, evergreen bough. Used iced spruce on the stencil.
The presents were coloured with faded denim distress ink and highlighted with clear sparkle pen.
Trying very hard to use the free stamps from magazines lately, the sentiment came from a creative stamping magazine. I do hope you like my creation, I look forward to seeing your lovely creations.

I have had a play with The Green Man stamp and I love Him.

I had an empty Crisp tin that I had been saving for this project,as I thought I would do a hidden Garden inside the tin.  To start with I stamped out the  The Green Man onto centura pearl card (plain side). using black versafine ink. Coloured the image using spectrum noir pencils. highlighted some areas with a white pen, then cut out image so I could decoupage it onto my tin. Next I cut a piece of card the same dimensions as my tin, then used the Tim Holtz wood grain stencil as I wanted the tin to resemble a tree stump. I used old paper, gathered twigs, rusty hinge, and forest moss Tim Holtz distress inks. I then stamped The Green Man onto my background, along with  Climbing Ivy and Small Mushroom stamps, to finish off the tree stump I used Oak leaf cutting files around the top edge, coloured with spectrum noir pencils, I then hand drew growth rings on an inked circle for the top,  made a signpost saying 'can you find the hidden garden' added a little flowersoft around base of signpost. For the inside  of the hidden garden I used the new Lavinia cutting files, Woodland,  wild mushrooms, Jade Fairy, I stamped out the wings From Fairy Shaylee then stamped the red squirrel and cut this out. Placed them on the inside of the lid, which is now the base, decorated this with flowersoft to represent grass and small flowers. I have really enjoyed making this project wish I had taken pictures at each stage, this is something for me to start thinking about. hope you like my project and i look forward to seeing all your lovely Creations good luck to all that enter the challenge
